A unique experience of the traditional art of Cretan weaving, that was passed down though the knowledge of countless generations of weavers, that processed by themselves the raw materials like wool, flax, linen, cotton and silk as well as dying of the thread using natural dyes from plant roots, flower leaves, bark of trees or even ash from the fireplace. Take part in an interactive course on the procedure of looming wool to thread, as well as weaving the thread into textiles and pieces of clothing, bags and wall rags!  There is also a wide selection of exhibits of traditional Cretan craftsmanship as well as one of the oldest traditional working looms in Crete.
